Building and construction

The industrial painting field includes pre-treatment and building up of corrosion hindering systems on steel constructions and metals within the Norwegian petroleum industry, building and construction, terminals, power stations, mechanical industries, and shipyards. Key tasks include:

• climate control
• selection and safeguarding of the correct use of safety equipment
• pre-treatment of surfaces with manual or mechanical methods.
• building up paint systems with brush, roller, and high-pressure sprayers
• self-operator control – use of controls and measuring equipment
• maintenance and servicing of equipment

You should be able to work systematically, be meticulous, have a high degree of technical knowledge and basic know-how about the environmental impact on your workplace – ergonomics and the use of unhealthy and hazardous substances, for example. You should be able to work independently and as a team.
