Trades involving longer periods of training

For a number of more theoretical apprentice trades, the training and value creation periods combined can amount to 4 1/2 or 5 years. We find such apprentice trades primarily in the education programmes for electrical engineering and computer technology and technological and industrial production. The descriptions of the various education programmes and programme areas will make clear which apprentice trades these are.
