Specialization in general studies is a good choice if you enjoy academic subjects and want to keep many options open for further education. In Vg1, you take common core subjects such as Norwegian, English, mathematics, science, social studies, geography, a foreign language and physical education. You should like reading, writing, working with numbers, discussing ideas and studying in a structured way. In Vg2, you choose subjects in science and mathematics or languages, social sciences and economics. General Studies lets you apply for higher education and can lead to many careers.
