Agriculture, fishing and forestry

An animal husbandry worker works with animal welfare and animal health. You will work with:

• caring, feeding and training animals
• preventing health and behavioural problems in animals
• operating and maintaining cowsheds, stables, kennels or pet shops
• instructing and guiding various groups, for example farm visitors or horse riding trips
• new knowledge and technology in working with animals

An animal husbandry worker should be interested in animals and animal welfare, nature and the environment. You should have observation abilities and the ability to make decisions. You must be able to work independently, but also in collaboration with others.
