This programme area gives you a foundation as a performing dancer and for advanced training as a performer. It is also a suitable background for those who wish to train further in the communication and use of dance in other contexts, such as teacher, therapist or activity leader.
The education programme leads to general university admissions certification, which qualifies you to apply to most study programmes at university colleges and universities. Depending on which subjects the school offers, you may satisfy special admissions requirements if you can choose programme subjects such as mathematics and/or other natural science subjects. Admission to most dance studies is contingent on practical entrance exams.
This programme area requires skills in dance. The teaching and training makes great demands in terms of artistic abilities, perseverance and practice. In addition, you should be able to master demanding theoretical subjects.
