Building and construction

A road construction and maintenance worker works with the operation and maintenance of public and private roads. You will work with:

• building and maintaining road surfaces, green areas, ditches, culverts and manholes
• installing and maintaining road guard rails
• road surface marking and road signs
• technical drawings and area calculation  
• digital measuring tools
• maintenance of drill rigs, high pressure compressors and drill hammers and the tools used with them

As a road construction and maintenance worker you will work in independent work situations and in work teams. This requires good knowledge and skills in your trade. It is important that you have positive attitudes to nature and the environment, and to security and safety measures. You should have good manual skills.
