Assessment in orderliness and behaviour

The purpose of assessment in orderliness and in behaviour is to
  • help your socialization process
  • create a good psychosocial environment
  • provide information about your orderliness and behaviour

The basis for assessment in orderliness and behaviour is related to how far your orderliness and behaviour are in accordance with the school–s rules. You must be acquainted with and have access to what is considered as the basis for the assessment and what is considered important for the assessment in orderliness and in behaviour. If you have a high absence rate, it may entail a poorer grade in either orderliness or behaviour.

When deciding the grade for orderliness and behaviour, your capabilities will be taken into consideration. Usually decisive importance is not to be placed on individual events, unless the event in question is especially reprehensible or a gross violation of the rules.

In orderliness and in behaviour the grades "Good", "Fair" and "Poor" are used. The assessments in orderliness and in behaviour are to be kept separate from the assessment of your academic achievements in subjects.

Half-year assessment in orderliness and in behaviour is part of the periodic assessment, and assessments without grades are to be given throughout the whole of the educational course. Half-year assessments with grades are given half-way through the educational course each year and at the end of each educational year unless you finish your education that year.

An overall achievement grade in orderliness and in behaviour is given when you complete your education in school in relation to the National Curriculum. This means after Vg3 in programmes for general studies and, in most cases, after Vg2 for vocational education programmes.
