Key tasks include:

• servicing and troubleshooting, repairs or rebuilds of lorries, buses, trailers, and trailer instruments above 3.5 tons
• troubleshooting, dismounting, repairs, and mounting of mechanical, hydraulic, and compressed-air based components
• customer-oriented work
• use of modern communications equipment for acquiring technical information regarding the work to be done

A motor vehicle mechanic for heavy vehicles should be able to work systematically, be rational and efficient, be independent, and work well with others. You should be skilled and knowledgeable in electro-technical, electronic, computer technology, and net-based solutions. You should be practical, responsible and good at working with your hands.
