The food production technician produces various types of food and beverages in an industrial process. Key tasks include:

• handling and using various types of raw ingredients in production
• production planning and management
• servicing machines and high-technology equipment
• simple maintenance of machines and equipment
• quality control, cleaning, and simple laboratory work

Industrial food production requires broad competence in handling raw ingredients, ICT, computer technology, and various production processes. You must be responsible, systematic, hygienic and efficient, and be able to work both independently and with others. You should also be innovative and be interested in sales and economy, and be able to provide customers with good service.
