Building and construction

Construction vehicle/machinery operators drive, operate, and maintain different types of machines. Key tasks include:

• driving at least three types of machines, such as diggers, shovel-loaders, industrial dumpers, or bulldozers.
• use of specialized equipment and safety gear
• work alerts and work planning
• levelling, and simple mark-out work
• technical municipal work, water and sewage plants/works
• ground works and roadway construction

Construction vehicle/machinery operators operate independently and in groups. This occupation requires a high degree of knowledge and proficiency in the field. It is important to have a positive attitude towards nature and the environment, and towards security and safety operations. You should be able to communicate well with clients and work systematically. You should be good with your hands and have an interest in machines.
