Key tasks include:

• working according to working instructions, drawings/schematics, and WPS (welding procedures)
• handling materials, manuals, and tools for working the materials
• executing welding processes using standard methods
• maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment

A welder should be able to work meticulously and methodically, be rational and efficient, and be independent and cooperative. He should be good at working with your hands and know your trade.
