Electrical engineering and computer technology

A forklift and lift mechanic maintains and repairs forklifts, lifts and platforms. You will work with:

• troubleshooting and finding defects and deficiencies in forklifts and lifts
• using digital controls for motors and hydraulics
• maintaining forklifts and lifts
• maintaining and repairing braking systems, chassis, lifting mechanisms and battery and charging systems
• maintaining tires, rims and wheels and suspension 
• troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining autonomous, remotely controlled and robotic machinery
• writing work reports

A forklift and lift mechanic must be able to work in a structured way, both independently and in collaboration with others. You must be able to communicate with customers and colleagues. You should have technical insight, good professional knowledge and manual skills.
