Drill operator, mechanical cable operations (craft certificate)

• manoeuvring and installation of advanced equipment down in the well to acquire information on the formation, reservoirs, production characteristics and changes that occur during an oil or gas field’s lifetime
• initiation of safety measures
• selection of drilling tools and equipment
  
• written reports on completed work assignments – both in Norwegian and English
• maintenance and repair of the different types of drilling tools and equipment

A drill operator for cable operations should be able to work systematically, be responsible, careful, precise and independent. You should be able to work together with other skilled workers. Communication and social skills are important. Work is often done under critical and demanding conditions, and you should be in good physical and mental health.
