Drill operator, coiled tubing (craft certificate)

Key tasks include:

• rigging of hydraulic equipment
• testing, troubleshooting, and operation of hydraulic equipment
• drill control checks
• maintenance and repairs to hydraulic equipment
• risk analysis of the operations, assessment of signals from the wells
• maintaining pressure-controls during drilling operations

A drill operator, coiled tubing, should be able to work systematically, be rational, careful, and precise. You should be able to participate in working groups located offshore, both on fixed and floating platforms, and must be able to take independent assignments, work in groups, and participate in drilling intervention groups – both on land and far out at sea. Communication and social skills are important.
