A composite boat builder manufactures, repairs and maintains hulls, decks, rigs, interiors and installations. Key tasks include:

• Utilizing various materials that are used in traditional and modern boat building
• Drying processes and machining
• Utilizing composite materials/plastics and machining of steel and other metals
• Utilizing mechanical assembly techniques, gluing and surface treatment and technical installations
• Aesthetics, design and construction from drawings and visualising designs
• Quality assurance and HSE

The skilled worker, both in cooperation with others and independently, must be able to plan, implement, document and evaluate his/her work in such a way that it can also promote innovation and product development.
