Hairdressers develop current hairstyles for everyday use and special occasions for men, women and children, based on the customer’s requirements, needs and wishes. Key tasks include:

• Communicating with the customer in the planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of one’s own work
• The cutting and styling of hair, beards, hairstyles and make-up
• Hair and scalp care
• Colouring and structure styling
• Communication and service in connection with the marketing of products and sales and services
• Daily operations (finance, stock control, reception services etc.)

Good communicative skills are important, as is an open, outgoing nature. The job also requiresyou to be in good shape, physically and psychologically.
