Transportation to and from school

The county authorities are responsible for transporting upper secondary pupils who live in the county in question and who live more than 6 km from the school. You are eligible for a free ride to school or compensation for transport to and from school. Some counties have been given dispensation from the rules concerning school transportation.

If you choose another training option than the one offered by the county authorities, you lose your right to school transportation. If you are an apprentice or training candidate, or are pursuing a training option organized for adults in particular, you are not entitled to school transportation either.
