Attending school on Svalbard

Longyearbyen skole on Svalbard is the world’s northernmost school, and the only primary and lower secondary school in Norway with an upper secondary education department.

This upper secondary education department has places in school for pupils from the mainland at Vg2 or Vg3. There are special admission criteria for mainland pupils and bedsits are provided for those pupils who are admitted. For more information, visit the school’s website.
