The skilled worker's tasks include the maintenance, inspection and control of aquatic organisms (e.g. algae, shellfish and fish) at marine farms.
Key tasks in aquaculture include:

• Daily observations in regard to the farmed organism’s optimal growth, welfare and well-being
• Correct feeding
• Sound hygiene practices and disease prevention measures
• Registration of operations
• Daily control of equipment used to prevent escape of fish etc.
• Operation and maintenance of equipment and installations

In this type of work it is important that you enjoy being outdoors in shifting weather conditions. Great emphasis is also placed on the ability to get along with others, a personal sense of responsibility, and a keen interest in biology.
