Training and value creation

The period of apprenticeship at a training establishment is divided into education and value creation. By value creation we mean that the apprentice/training candidate creates products or services that the company can sell or offer its customers or users. It is for the value creation time that the apprentice/training candidate is paid wages. At the beginning of the apprenticeship, the emphasis is on education; at the end, the emphasis is on value creation. For this reason, apprentices/training candidates usually are paid less at the beginning than towards the end of their apprenticeship.
