As a seaman, you will work on board ships.
Work done by seamen consists mostly of the following duties:
You must be efficient and meticulous, and get along well with others. A clean reputation is a pre-requisite to receiving a visum into foreign countries to which the seaman sails.
Stringent requirements apply with respect to sight (colour vision), hearing, and overall good health. You must have an approved health certificate issued by an authorized seaman–s doctor.
Seamen must satisfy requirements for security training and documentation in the STCW convention.
