Duodji is a Sami handicraft and cultural tradition. The Sami are an indigenous people and have created their clothes and functional and decorative items from natural materials and developed the handicraft called duodji.
A leather and fur duojár works in small handicraft enterprises and workshops, such as enterprises devoted to artistic handicraft, domestic crafts, handicrafts, design or textiles.
A leather and fur duojár produces, repairs and maintains traditional and new clothes, bags and other equipment made of fur and leather. The leather and fur duojár also develops new products and designs that are adapted to an international environment.
