Roofing and membrane installation involves putting roofs on new buildings, rehabilitation, re-surfacing and re-roofing, servicing, and repairs. Roofing is carried out at building complexes, on smaller houses, on various kinds of industrial buildings, sports halls, patios and terraces, earth-covered constructions, tunnels, and wet-room membranes. Key tasks include:

• foundation assessments
• diffusion sealing
• insulation, with or without inclination building
• mechanical anchoring of roof surfaces
• surface works for flat roofs, pitched roofs, and arched roofs

The roofer must be independent enough to assess, plan and execute the work, to work with precision, and have a good working knowledge of the materials used. Roofers must also be able to work together with customers, colleagues and other partners.
