Agriculture, fishing and forestry

A forestry worker fells trees and transports timber. The forestry worker also works with rejuvenation (ground preparation, planting and seeding), new forest care and reduction. Key tasks include:

• Use of forest machinery such as felling machinery and transport machinery
• Use of tractor with equipment for transport
• Use and treatment of timber
• Nature and environment knowledge
• Using a forestry management plan and digital tools

You must enjoy working outdoors and being in close contact with nature. Even though the heaviest work is now done by machines, the manual labour involved will require physical strength. You must also be able to work on your own.
