Health workers carry out practical care and environmental work for patients and users of health and social services. Key tasks include:

• the carrying out of professional and caring health assistance, with the focus on the user
  
• health-promoting, preventive, rehabilitating and care and nursing activities
• planning, implementation and participation in the overall treatment scheme for patient/user
• working in accordance with hygienic, nutritional and ergonomic principles
• handling medicines in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations
• record keeping, documentation and reporting

It is important that you are personally suited to practicing your profession. You must care about and show care, respect and consideration for others. You should be able to work independently and together with others.
