• dismount, mount, measure, and adjust autobodies
• preparing and working with damaged surfaces in preparation for lacquering
• checking, troubleshooting, replacing, and adjusting components in drive gears, underbodies, brakes, and safety devices
• electro-technical work and electronics
• use of jigs or other types of hydraulic bench racks and alignment devices

Motor vehicle body repair technicians should be able to work systematically, be efficient, rational, and work independently or together with others. They should be accurate, good with their hands, and technically knowledgeable.
