Building and construction

As a landscaper you build outdoor spaces. Daily tasks in landscaping comprise development, construction and maintenance of several kinds of facilities. Among other things, the landscaper facilitates play, sports and leisure activities for all user groups. The landskaper must be able to manage and carry out the practical part of the operations.

Key tasks include:

• Maintenance of green areas throughout all seasons
• Designing terrain in outdoor facilities
• Choice of surfaces, e.g. asphalt, concrete and gravelled areas
• Maintenance of all types of vegetation elements in different areas
• Maintenance of all types of installations designed for use outdoors, e.g. playground apparatus, benches, sculptures and fences
• Facilitation for active use and preservation of natural, cultural and recreational areas.

In this type of work it is important that you are precise and cooperative. You must have a good aesthetic appreciation, be practical and enjoy working outdoors.
