Key tasks include:
planning one's own work assignments, taking into consideration the health, environment, and safety of himself as well as his colleagues
installing lifts in new or existing buildings – everything from mechanical structures, motors, and hydraulics to electrical supply and electro-technical guidance and control systems
installing and testing of safety components
adapting and mounting new equipment on existing installations
troubleshooting and repairs
preventive maintenance
